Gainsborough Community Wheels voluntary car scheme, based at Gainsborough House, needs more drivers to take local residents to their medical appointments.
Membership numbers are increasing week by week and the demand for the service means more drivers are needed so the scheme can continue to make sure local people can attend important medical appointments – doctors, hospitals, opticians, dentist etc. This can be locally or further afield; Lincoln, Sheffield, Nottingham – in fact, anywhere a client needs to attend.
A DBS is carried out (at no cost to the driver) and the driver can decide how much time they wish to give. Drivers use their own cars and a mileage allowance of 45p per mile is paid. If you are interested, please call 01427 611441 or email gaincommwheels@outlook.com.
