Following the successful performance of A Sure Refuge in November, and of Carols for All in December, Gainsborough Choral Society will next be performing the Mozart Requiem on Saturday 26th March at 7.30pm in All Saints’ Church, Gainsborough DN21 2JR. The Choral Society will be joined by the Lincoln Chorale, and the Lincoln Pro Musica Orchestra, all under the baton of Alex Greenfield.
This is one of Mozart’s most outstanding choral works, and the Society is pleased to welcome back regular soloists Helen Winter, Jennifer Parker and Mark Wilde – and, for the first time, bass soloist Ossian Huskison. Tickets, at a cost of £12.50 for adults and £2.00 for children under 14, are available from www.wegottickets.com.
Gainsborough Choral Society, founded in 1860, is a leading choral society attracting members from Gainsborough and surrounding areas of Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire. Currently around 100 strong, the Society performs three concerts each year, with a full orchestra and visiting soloists as appropriate.
