First birthday for Dine at the Bridge

The 13th February 2020 is the first birthday of Dine at the Bridge at Clip Learning, Bridge Street, Gainsborough.
Dine at the Bridge is open every Wednesday for lunch. They open at 11.30am for welcoming drinks, and serve lunch between 12.00pm and 1.30pm. They are a pop up kitchen which makes meals mainly from surplus food donated from Tesco Gainsborough. They also get very generous donations from Williamson’s Farm at Blyton, and have had donations from Weatherspoons and members of the public.

As they are a pop up kitchen once the food is gone, it is gone until the following week; they advise anyone that wants to eat with them to arrive early to avoid disappointment. They ask for a £2.50 donation for the meal to help buy items they don’t get from donations and train volunteers. They serve a two course meal, with unlimited tea and coffee.
They are lucky to have full support and work in partnership with Clip, who have supported the lunch club from the start. Everyone is welcome for lunch. Over their first year they have provided breakfast for the job centre, served a post-Christmas meal for Disability Network, and lunch for Family Action and Hastings Centre, as well as their regular customers. If anyone would like to take a party for lunch it is advised you contact Clip so they can accommodate your needs.

We can all feel lonely and isolated from time to time, there is always a friendly smile and welcome from all volunteers who work at Dine at the Bridge.
