UK clubbing habits have changed drastically over recent years, with people now preferring to be home earlier while still enjoying their favourite songs to dance to.
The daytime disco is more popular than ever, offering the chance to let loose, enjoy a drink (or a coffee), bring children along, and still be home in time for tea.
Scunthorpe is no exception, with the launch earlier this year of Café Indie’s own monthly daytime disco, Vitamin Funk. This event features four hours of a blend of brand-new disco tunes alongside re-edits of classic disco and pop tracks from the last 30 years.
Vitamin Funk includes performances from live resident DJ Jamie Paul, as well as guest DJs, and takes place from 12.00pm to 4.00pm on one Saturday each month.
Café Indie, located on the High Street in Scunthorpe, is a not-for-profit venue spread over three floors. It boasts a fully licensed bar, a downstairs dance floor, and a café serving food and coffee. It has become one of North Lincolnshire’s premier venues for live music and bands, while also providing local young people with the opportunity to volunteer and gain vital skills to help with future employment.
Entry is free, so why not gather some friends and head down to experience what Vitamin Funk has to offer? The next event is on Saturday 3rd May, with the following one on Saturday 7th June.
