Daffodil Delight

by | 13 March 2026 | Environment, Gainsborough, Local Experiences

The Kirton in Lindsey Amateur Gardeners (KLAGs) 2026 season of meetings continues on Wednesday 18th March at 7.30pm, at the Town Hall, Market Place, Kirton in Lindsey.

This month’s illustrated talk is titled Flowers and Folklore. Presented by one of the club’s own members, Mary Hollingsworth, the talk explores botanical history and plant medicine, and includes many surprising folklore tales connected to familiar wild flowers. New visitors are always welcome, and anyone interested is encouraged to go along and join this friendly and welcoming group.

There are also a couple of dates to note for the diary. On the morning of Saturday 28th March, the Daffodil Delight Show will take place at the Town Hall, Market Place (see separate article for full details). On Saturday 9th May, from 9.30am to 11.30am, the club’s Annual Plant Stall will be held in the Market Place. Bedding plants, vegetable plants and more will be available, and members of the public are invited to bring along spare plants to help raise funds for the club and perhaps find a new addition for their garden.
