Who were the Becketts of Somerby Park?
From the late 18th century, the Becketts purchased much of the lands of Corringham and Springthorpe and rebuilt their pile at Somerby, known as Somerby Hall. But who were they, where did come from and what imprint did they have on the local and national scene? And how are they related to Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall?
Find the answers in a talk given by PDJ Howitt-Cowan on Friday 30th September at 7.30pm in Corringham Village Hall. Charge £4.00 including light refreshment. Ample car parking available. All welcome; all proceeds to the Church.
