The DIY Tea Dances at Morton Village Hall, now being organised by the dancers themselves, continued their improvement in numbers for the dance on 16th February. Those who had returned in January also retuned in February and thoroughly enjoyed their experience, with the usual mix of Ballroom, Old Time and Sequence dances.
The music had a definite Valentine theme: ladies received a single red rose each, with the men receiving chocolates! The DIY aspect of the dances is now settling in and beginning to work well.
The £20.00 proceeds of the raffle was donated to the Disasters Emergency Committee for relief to those suffering in the Turkish / Syrian earthquake.
The next Dance takes place on Thursday 20th April. Entry costs £5.00 per person and includes refreshments and raffle. All dances are held at Morton Village Hall, Walkerith Road, Morton, Gainsborough DN21 3AL.
This is a friendly group which makes all newcomers welcome; go and have a chat, a cuppa and a biscuit (or two) during the mid-dance refreshments.
