At Connexions Community Hub staff have been very busy establishing community learning programmes, with current courses being well attended.

This includes Child and Young People Development, Creative Writing, and Discover Arts award in this first part of the year, with courses in Food Hygiene, First Aid, Maths and Personal Finance to follow soon.

All these courses are free to access due to funding received from the District and County Council. If you would like to enrol on any course, contact or call into Connexions.

A Family Hub will be established at Connexions at 100 Church Street, due to be and up and running over the coming weeks with a new programme of activities for parents, carers, children and young people.

The Performing Arts Club St Johns has been busy with its ‘Spring Extravaganza’ shows held across three venues. The concert featured some of some of the Club’s ‘greatest hits’ since it began back in 2007, as chosen by current members, with choices from musicals, pop music and rock music.

Connexions has also been involved with Kings Theatre. After some years, and some setbacks too, the venue is now fully refurbished and looking incredible! It opened its doors in May. To find out more visit
