Children learn about plastic pollution

North Notts Lions have been presenting local schools with story books about marine life that face dangers from plastic in the sea. Among the schools who have received the books are Misterton Primary and Nursery School.

Headteacher Jane Cappleman-Jackson thanked the Lions: “Our thanks and appreciation go to North Notts Lions for their kind gift of books, which focus on plastics in the environment. The children at Misterton Primary voiced their concerns about plastic pollution in the summer and are now engaged in research on it, and recycling.”

The Lions continue to enjoy a positive relationship with such a caring and proactive school as Misterton and they support wholeheartedly the work staff are doing in educating youngsters to care for the environment.
