St Barnabas Hospice are encouraging you to get your friends, colleagues or neighbours together in their latest initiative!
Put the kettle on and raise money for your local hospice by hosting a ‘Care for a Cuppa’ coffee day – you could even make it a regular event!
They have put together an easy-to-use fundraising pack to use to host your own coffee and tea event. This is the perfect feel-good fundraiser.
The charity will provide you with printable invites, bunting, cake toppers, napkin holders and a special recipe from renowned Lincolnshire chef and baker Rachel Green.
Your Care for a Cuppa will help St Barnabas care for others at a time when they need it most.
Did you know?
- £72.90 could pay for one hospice at home nurse to care for a patient in their own home for five hours.
- £35.54 could pay for one hour of specialist inpatient care at the hospice.
- £55.98 would fund their bereavement helpline for a day to give support to those struggling with grief.
VolunteeringSt Barnabas are always looking for volunteers to help whenever possible; it’s a great way to meet new people and have fun whilst doing something for your local hospice. Please get in touch if you think it would be something you would like to do.
Quiz hosting
If volunteering or coffee mornings are not for you how about hosting a quiz?
St Barnabas have everything you will need: a prewritten quiz, posters, collection pots, beer mats to display. All you need to do is choose a date and get started, it’s as simple as that.
The fundraising team are there to support you with your planning and make sure you have everything you need leading up to your quiz.
Your support will allow them to continue to support more than 10,500 patients and families each year with end-of-life care and they have an annual fundraising target of over £6 million to keep those care services running.
The Pub Quiz is designed to bring together the community, have a fun night together and to donate the cost of a pint, a bottle of wine or even a round of drinks to support St Barnabas in the future.
