A local charity-run hospice and healthcare provider is urging people to pop the kettle on in March to help raise the much-needed funds it needs to provide its care.
Lindsey Lodge Hospice and Healthcare has launched its ‘Care for a Cuppa’ fundraising campaign to help it continue to deliver its specialist palliative care and support to North Lincolnshire patients and their families living with life-limiting illnesses.
To coincide with the campaign, the Lindsey Lodge Fundraising Team will be taking part in a ‘Thankathon’ to say a massive ‘thank you’ to everyone who has supported the Scunthorpe-based charity during its 30th anniversary year.
Everyone who registers to Care for a Cuppa will receive their very own fundraising pack to help get started with their event. They will also receive a copy of Lindsey Lodge volunteer Jill Perry’s famous fail-safe scone recipe, as well as some of her other homemade favourites to provide them with inspiration.
People can sign up free of charge online now at www.lindseylodgehospice.org.uk, by email at llh.enquiries@nhs.net or by phoning the Fundraising Team on 01724 270835.
Lindsey Lodge’s supporters have already arranged Care for a Cuppa events in Messingham, Crowle, Scotter and Burton, which will be posted on its website and social media channels in the coming weeks.
