The weather was hot and sunny for this year’s Morton Feast Summer Fair. It was an enjoyable afternoon with stalls and games, a great BBQ provided by the Scouts and Guides and tasty cakes on the refreshment stall.
Thanks to the support of local businesses, the magnificent prizes for the Summer Draw encouraged many to buy. Overall, several hundred pounds was made which will benefit the community, so thanks to all. There was good support for the Morton versus Haxey cricket match too.
The Garden Cup was won by Howard Fields again, a lovely garden on North Street. And the Teddy Bears Picnic by Shirley Hoyles won the Scarecrow Competition, an amusing array of teddies who later mysteriously jumped up and joined hands to dance!
