Gainsborough and District Flower Club will hold its next meeting on Thursday 25th June – a member’s night, with light bites and a talk by Jayne Merriman entitled ‘What’s in a Name?’

Jayne is a member of the North Midlands Area Teachers’ Association, currently serving on the committee as Secretary. Jayne is a member of several flower clubs: Grimsby, Scunthorpe, Future Concepts and New Dimensions, and she is an active and keen competitor and has entered local and area flower shows with some successes. As a teacher she enjoys passing on the skills learned and seeing the students’ progress and develop their floral art.

Then on Thursday 23rd July there will be something a little different for members and visitors, when Paul from Scothern Nurseries will give a talk entitled Plants Indoor and Outdoor.

Club nights take place on the fourth Thursday of every month at 7.15pm at Gladstone House, Ropery Road, Gainsborough, DN21 2TS. There is parking available on site, along with a bar and tea and coffee facilities.

Visitors are always welcome. There is a £10.00 visitor charge, and members are encouraged to bring friends along to enjoy the evening.
