The organising committee behind the charity nights and entertainment at The Blues Club in Gainsborough has announced that 2026 will be the final year of the long-running events. Regular supporters will know the popular charity nights well, and the programme for 2026 has already been arranged through to the New Year. However, organisers John, Baz, Steve, Barry and Hank, along with their partners, have decided that this will be their final year running the events.
After many years of organising the charity nights, the team has decided it is time to step back. As they explained, the decision has not been taken lightly, but with everyone getting older and not as fit or healthy as they once were, they feel the time is right.
Over the years the charity nights have grown into popular community events, raising funds for a wide range of local charities while bringing people together for entertainment and socialising. The organisers say it has sometimes been hard work, but they have thoroughly enjoyed running the events, meeting many wonderful people and forming lasting friendships.
The team hopes that someone may be willing to step forward and continue organising charity nights at the club in the future. Anyone interested in helping to run future charity events, or who would like more information, is encouraged to call in at The Blues Club or contact the club by phone on 01427 613688 after 7.00pm. Alternatively, contact John on 07508 320243, Baz on 07931 762159, or email Thebluesclubgtfc@outlook.com.
The organising committee would like to thank everyone who has supported the charity nights over the years and hopes the events have helped make a positive difference to local people and charities.
