February is busy at Gainsborough Old Hall and the team there would love to see you at one of their upcoming events:
Saturday 14th to Sunday 22nd February
February Half Term
Complete the trail around the Hall for children. The cost is £1.00 per sheet, with a prize at the end! Pick up your sheet from the Visitor Desk. There will also be colouring and activity sheets in the café.

Illuminate Gainsborough Activity
Free lantern-making workshop in the Education Room to make your lantern for the Illuminate parade on 21st February! No need to book, simply drop in. All materials provided.
Sunday 15th, Wednesday 18th and Friday 20th February, 10.00am to 12.00pm and 1.00pm to 3.00pm
Tile Workshop
Make a colourful tile based on the archaeological dig that took place on the Hall grounds in June 2025 in these workshops led by artist Jen Holtridge. Your tile will be included in the art installation funded by the Heritage Lottery Fun. This is a ticketed free event with limited spaces so booking is essential.

LGBTQ History Month Plaque Workshop
A free drop-in workshop in the Education Room to make a plaque dedicated to LGBTQ+ history
Tuesday 17th February
Pancake Day
Medieval musicians De Mowbray’s Musicke perform in the Hall for Shrove Tuesday celebrations. There will also be spotlight talks led by the Hall’s volunteers on the history of Shrove Tuesday. Look out nearer the time for timings and more details.

Litter Pick
Join in the community litter pick run by Gainsborough Old Hall, VCS and Gainsborough in Bloom. Look out nearer the time for more details.

The Hall will be open for free with film projections, shadow puppets and more.
Saturday 28th February, 10.00am to 2.00pm
Zine-making Workshop
Join their Community Engagement Coordinator and learn how to make your own zine! This is a free ticketed event and booking is essential.
