September saw Morton Village Hall host another successful coffee morning in aid of Macmillan. The morning was well attended and over £500 was raised for such a worthy cause. At the time of writing the Committee are looking forward to hosting a sell-out children’s Halloween party at the end of October.
Looking ahead, they’re thrilled to be organising their own Christmas Fayre this year. The event, taking place on Sunday 16th November, will see a variety of stall holders showcasing their wares at the hall. Go along from 11.00am to pick up a few gifts and seasonal treats. There may even be a visit from a very festive VIP! Funds raised from this event will go to the upkeep of the Village Hall.
The Village Hall committee will also be running a Christmas Raffle to raise further funds in support of the hall. Cash prizes, and others, are up for grabs – tickets cost £1.00 and the winners will be drawn at the hall on 17th December, 6:30pm. Tickets are available from Committee Members, or contact Tracey on 07787 581896.
Finally, their annual Crib Service will be held from 4.00pm on Sunday 7th December. Local families are invited to this participatory service, with readings and carols telling the nativity story. Refreshments will be available afterwards.
