Health, money, family and retirement are among the biggest topics in life, yet research conducted by Home Instead shows that over 70% of families avoid discussing the difficult and sensitive issues that may affect them all. The question of where and how a vulnerable adult might be cared for can be so overwhelming that it is often only considered after a crisis occurs.
At a recent meeting, Home Instead Community Engagement Officer, David Gaskell, addressed members of Lea WI to explain the options available. Home Instead provides award-winning home care for older people across the country. Its ethos focuses on individual preferences and personality, creating unique care plans for each person. Whether offering companionship, personal care, specialist dementia support or clinical services, its trained professionals deliver care tailored to the individual.
The next meeting will be held at Lea Village Hall (DN21 5JA) on Thursday 6th November at 7.00pm, when local artisan Stuart will lead a creative session showcasing willow crafts. This relaxing and meditative hobby uses naturally sustainable materials, with imagination being the only limitation.
