If you love a bargain, then the Friends of Scunthorpe Little Theatre Club offer is most definitely for you! Previously, the Scunthorpe Little Theatre Club performed three shows per season at The Plowright Theatre, Scunthorpe, and the Friends of Scunthorpe Little Theatre Club (FOSLTC) membership was £35.00 per season. From 2026, the Scunthorpe Little Theatre Club will perform two shows per season at The Plowright Theatre, and the FOSLTC membership will still remain excellent value for money at £30.00 per season.

For £30.00 per season, you will receive two tickets to each of the two shows, a complimentary programme for each show, and your name will appear in the front of the show programme for as long as you remain a member. The £30.00 per season is a very significant reduction on the usual ticket prices and means that your tickets cost only £7.50 each. At that price, you will easily have enough spare change to purchase an ice cream during the interval or perhaps some raffle tickets. Who doesn’t like to win a nice prize after an entertaining evening of live theatre?

When you join the FOSLTC, the first of your two tickets will enable you to see Talking Heads, written by Alan Bennett, directed by Sue Dolby, with Chad Andrew Lyon as assistant director. Talking Heads will show at the Plowright Theatre from Wednesday 17th to Saturday 20th September at 7.30pm, and features Amy McKenzie as Irene Ruddock in A Lady of Letters, Nikki Pontin as Lesley in Her Big Chance, and Andy Pontin as Graham in A Chip in the Sugar. Following this, in January 2026, dates to be confirmed – please follow the Scunthorpe Little Theatre Club Fan page on Facebook for further details – your second pair of tickets will be waiting, ready for you to attend The Plowright Theatre for the family-friendly pantomime, Robin Hood and The Babes In The Wood, written and directed by Alex Hall.

The FOSLTC membership scheme is not only a great way to save money but is also the ideal way to dip your toes into experiencing the world of live theatre at a very reasonable cost. Is there someone in your life who is hard to buy a gift for? Perhaps a friend or family member who loves live theatre? Or maybe you just want to treat yourself? Whatever the reason, as a member of the FOSLTC membership scheme, you will receive a significant reduction on ticket prices as a ‘Thank you’ from the Scunthorpe Little Theatre Club for your continued support and patronage of amateur theatre.
