A brilliant day out was enjoyed by all at this year’s Morton Feast in July. Hundreds of families and friends took part in the fun and games, music and dancing, and the organisers hope to see everyone again next year. Morton Feast was made possible by the generosity of businesses and individuals who kindly sponsored the event or donated raffle prizes. Their support enabled the community to enjoy a fantastic free day out, which the organisers hope to repeat next year.
Fundraising for Morton Feast 2026 is already underway. Those who enjoyed the event are encouraged to support upcoming fundraising activities, which will be advertised in the usual places – on the Village Hall noticeboards, on the Facebook page ‘Morton Village Events’ and in this magazine. The first two events are coming up soon.
Table Top Sale
Sunday 7th September
Another of the popular table top sales will be held. Tables cost £5.00 each and can be booked by contacting Tracey on 07787 581896. Bargain hunters will find plenty to explore, and there will also be tea, coffee and delicious homemade cakes – perfect for a Sunday afternoon.
Reggae Night
Saturday 25th October
An exciting night out is planned with a local reggae performer. Full details will be announced later, but for more information or to book in advance, contact Jane on 07469 933224. This promises to be a fantastic evening, so the date is well worth noting.
