There are two community events taking place in September at Gainsborough Old Hall:
Saturday 13th September
WordFest
Gainsborough Old Hall will be taking part in this year’s WordFest with presentations from the Young Writers East Midlands, showcasing the work they have written at the Old Hall over the past year. Visitors can go along to listen to their pieces and ask them questions about their experience with the Young Writers group. The event will run from 10.00am to 5.00pm (last entry at 4.15pm).
Sunday 14th September
Heritage Open Days
Gainsborough Old Hall will be open for free on Sunday 14th September to celebrate the nationwide Heritage Open Days. Visitors can make their own clay tile with clay expert Ian Martinson (back by popular demand!), listen to and share stories of the Old Hall with volunteers, and explore the medieval building in all its glory. The event will run from 10.00am to 5.00pm (last entry at 4.15pm).
