Town Hall Live’s remit has always been to bring the best in Americana and roots music from across the world to Kirton in Lindsey. This is clearly illustrated in the two August concerts, when Julian Taylor from Canada and Lachlan Bryan and The Wildes from Australia will headline.
Friday 8th August
Julian Taylor
Julian Taylor and his all-female UK band return to Town Hall Live ahead of their appearance at this year’s Magpie Festival in Yorkshire. Julian, from Toronto, has been part of the Canadian music scene for over two decades, building an unimpeachable reputation as a truly independent artist. He has released 13 studio albums. However, it was not until 2020 that he became known to UK audiences, following the release of The Ridge, which gained over a million plays on Spotify. He followed it with Beyond the Reservoir in 2022 and the excellent Pathways in 2024. In December 2024, he released a live downloadable album, Live at TD Music Hall. Julian’s songs are lyrical and sonically rich, offering a sense of comfort in difficult times. He is an explosive and captivating live performer with a rich, warm baritone voice, taking audiences on an emotional journey of highs and lows, joy and sadness. He will be accompanied by his UK band: Raevennan Husbandes on guitar and vocals, Michelle Stodart on bass and Sian Monaghan on drums. This will be the band’s third appearance at Town Hall Live. Their previous two performances in 2023 and 2024 were regarded as ‘Concerts of the Year’. Tickets are priced at £18.00.
Friday 22nd August
Lachlan Bryan and The Wildes
Lachlan’s music defies easy categorisation — it spans rock’n’roll, folk, and alternative country. Over the past 15 years, he has built a reputation as a master storyteller, writing some of the most insightful, poignant and heartfelt songs. His lyrics range from hard-hitting social commentary to personal reflections, all laced with dark humour, unique phrasing, and a romantic undertone. Since 2010, Lachlan and the band have released five albums: Black Coffee (2013), The Mountain (2015), Some Girls Like Country Music (2018), Nearest Misses Live (2021) and their most recent release, As Long As It Is Not Us. The band headlined the Town Hall Live Festival in July 2022 and returned for a rare solo concert in July 2024. This year, they return in full band format. The Wildes are made up of Riley Catherall on lead guitar, Shaun Ryan on bass, Emily Lawler on violin and Ben Middleton on drums. Tickets are priced at £16.00.
