Gainsborough u3a have had a busy few weeks. There have been many successful trips, to Brightwater Gardens, Plowright Theatre in Scunthorpe to see ‘9 to 5’, and the International Bomber Command Centre in Lincoln. Their guest speaker for July was local author Jill Berry, who has written three novels. She talked about the process of thinking of a story to tell and how to go about getting it published. Their next meeting is on Thursday 15th August, when Bernard Bale will be taking u3a members down memory lane with his talk ‘You Must Remember This’. New members are always welcome. Monthly meetings are held on the third Thursday of the month at the Methodist Church in Gainsborough. Check out their website for more information.
