The ever-popular Springthorpe Village Fête returns on Saturday 5th July, taking place from 2.00pm to 5.30pm at The Old Rectory, Chapel Lane, Springthorpe. Everyone is warmly invited to go along and enjoy a fun-filled afternoon of traditional entertainment and community spirit.
There will be a wide variety of activities and attractions to suit all ages, including classic games such as welly wanging, ski ball, bean bags, bottle game, skittles and a treasure hunt. Visitors can also test their skills on the golf game, or try their luck at the tombola and raffle.
A highlight of the day is the pet competition, with prizes on offer for cats, dogs, hamsters, chickens, ducks and more.
Refreshments will be available throughout the afternoon, with tea, coffee, cakes and soft drinks on sale. A selection of stalls will offer plants, books and cakes for browsing and purchase.
St George and St Lawrence Church will be open to visitors during the event, providing a peaceful space to explore the village’s heritage.
Everyone is welcome at what promises to be a lively and enjoyable day in the heart of Springthorpe.
