Summer’s coming and so is one massive fun filled family weekend down at Gainsborough Trinity Football Ground – yes, on the pitch… Laybo’s Fest is very close.
Two days dedicated to having fun performing, spectating, dancing, singing, making memories and generally having a real good time on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th May.
The pitch is going to be filed with lots of attractions all weekend, including cracking food, whacky inflatable park, circus skills, bubble workshops etc.
Don’t miss brilliant music, entertainment and workshops over two areas including the Andrew and Emily Stage in Club on the park. Blending phenomenal local artistes and performers alongside chart topping acts!
Headline acts include chart topping pop icons including Heather Small – The voice of M people – say no more. An unmistakable angelic voice with such hits as ‘Proud’, ‘How Can I Love You More’, ‘What have you Done Today’ and ‘Search for the Hero’. The list is endless and the perfect fit for Laybo’s Fest’s mantra of spreading a message of positivity, love and remembrance of loved ones sadly lost and not with us anymore. In particular, loved ones lost to suicide as the event is in memory of Leighton Hall who sadly took his own life in May 2019.
Also on stage on Saturday is Ian Van Dahl, bringing with him all the anthems including ‘Will I’, ‘Reason’ and the timeless international hit ‘Castles in the sky’.
And as the party is in a football stadium, the organisers simply had to book tributes to Queen and Oasis – QE2 & Oasisn’t! So, if you are a Queen or an Oasis fan you are definitely maybe in for a treat!
Laybo’s Fest always put on brilliant local acts alongside the pop stars. These include:
- On the Saturday: Rock Choir, Jam Hot, Ian Helps, Gracey B
- On the Sunday: The Morettis, The Shugs, Little Rock, G Town Dance Crew, Garavan, TPA Firebird youth singers and performers, the biggest school choir ever assembled and Swede Dreamz – a massive singalong Abba tribute
A Lancaster Bomber c / o The Battle Of Britain Memorial Flight are scheduled to fly straight over the pitch and stage on the Saturday afternoon so make sure you look to the skies (subject to change).
With so much going on, and certainly too much to cram in this article, it is a weekend not to be missed!
