As the weather warms and festival season approaches, the Laybo’s Legacy team in Gainsborough is working tirelessly to bring the biggest Laybo’s Fest yet to its new home – on the pitch at Gainsborough Trinity FC. Laybo’s Fest 25 is set to be the largest so far, taking place on Saturday 17th May and Sunday 18th May. The event will feature chart-topping acts alongside phenomenal local talent, creating a weekend of good vibes and smiles for all the family.
Saturday’s line-up includes pop icon Heather Small, the voice of M People, performing hits such as Moving On Up, How Can I Love You More, and Proud. Also performing is 2000s dance legend DJ Ian Van Dahl, best known for Castles in the Sky. The weekend will also feature outstanding tribute acts to Queen, ABBA, and Oasis, marking the year of the iconic band’s reunion.
Local talent includes bands Jam Hot, The Morettis, and Shugs, along with singers Ian Helps, Grace Elizabeth, and Ben Williams. Additionally, Gainsborough’s G Town Dance Crew and TPA Firebirds will take to the stage.
Saturday is dedicated to live music, with gates opening at 12.00pm, while Sunday’s The Kidz Takeover allows children to attend for free when accompanied by an adult, with entertainment starting at 2.00pm.
Sunday will feature Rock Choir, delivering singalong anthems, as well as the largest youth choir in the area, with performances from local schools.
The Laybo’s team is passionate about encouraging local acts, both young and old, to perform alongside professional artists – spreading the message that ‘you can do it too!’
Beyond the music, the festival will offer Party Bingo, a Kiddy Rave, an Inflatable Adventure Park, and the biggest karaoke event ever, as promised by the Laybo’s team.
Committed to keeping ticket prices as low as possible, Saturday entry is just £20.00, while adults pay only £5.00 on Sunday – with children attending for free.
The Laybo’s team continues to spread positivity in memory of Leighton Hall, who was lost to suicide in 2019, raising much-needed funds for the charity Laybo’s Legacy.
