The speaker season begins at Beckingham and District Gardeners’ Club on Monday 17th February at 7.30pm with Sarah Hackney, who will demonstrate willow working and guide members in creating a dragonfly sculpture. Sarah is an experienced willow worker and produces stunning willow garden sculptures.
The next meeting, on Monday 17th March, will feature Neil Timms speaking on ‘Over the Fence’. His talk will explore the value of wildflowers grown intentionally in gardens and discuss cultivated plants that escape into the wild. This timely topic aligns with the growing interest in wildflowers to attract pollinators and enhance biodiversity.
Non-members interested in any of the talks are welcome to attend. Visitors are charged £4.00 per meeting, or you can join the club for an annual subscription of £15.00 per member or £20.00 per family, which includes refreshments. Meetings are held in Beckingham Recreation Room, starting at 7.30pm.
If you have an interest in gardening, the environment, or related subjects, you are encouraged to attend. It is a small, welcoming club, and visitors or new members will be warmly received.
