The Kirton in Lindsey Amateur Gardeners (KLAGs) 2025 season of meetings will start on Wednesday 19th February at 7.30pm in the Town Hall, Market Place, Kirton in Lindsey.
This month’s talk, with the curious title of ‘Galas, Horse and Foal Shows and Tattersalia obfuscens’, will be given by Martin Hollingsworth. He will delve into the past 150 years to tell the story of early horticultural shows and the forerunners of the present gardening club.
A photograph shows KLAGs committee members and Daphne Ledward (TV gardening expert) in 1985.
At each meeting, monthly competitions are held for members, and this month’s competition will be ‘A bunch of Snowdrops’.
13th Daffodil Show
The Daffodil Show will make a welcome return on Saturday 5th April 2025, from 9.30am to 12.30pm at the Town Hall. More details will follow in the next issue. The show will again coincide with the monthly Cupcakes and Coffee morning run by St Andrew’s United Church.
Please go along and join this friendly bunch.
