The next meeting of the Wheatley Local History Group will take place at the Village Hall in South Wheatley on Monday 20th January, starting at 10.00am. Stephen Flinders will return as the guest speaker, presenting a talk on ‘The Magnificent Seven’.
This talk explores the origins of great garden cemeteries in the early 19th century, following a national scandal about burials that brought an end to a disturbing chapter in history. It promises to be a fascinating morning.
Attendance at this meeting is completely free, making it an excellent opportunity to learn more about the group.
