Town Hall Live, Kirton has just one concert in September, followed by two in October.
Friday 27th September
The Often Herd
The Often Herd, from Newcastle, are one of the country’s upcoming bands. They are Rupert Hughes (guitar and vocals), Evan Davies (mandolin), Niles Krieger (violin) and Sam Quintana (double bass). The line-up might resemble an American string band, complete with driving energy, tight vocal harmonies and dazzling interplay but their vibrant transatlantic sound is coloured by their surroundings, the striking natural and industrial landscape of Northern England. Their music is exciting to listen to and they are just dynamic live.
As a bonus, support will come from the Kirton–in–Lindsey Rock Choir. Tickets for the concert are priced at £15.00.
Friday 11th October
Hannah Aldridge
Hannah Aldridge grew up on the muddy banks of Muscle Shoals, Alabama. In 2014, she released her debut album ‘Razor Wire’. Since then, she has released three more albums and 10 years on Hannah is celebrating Razor Wire’s 10th anniversary, breathing new life into the songs on the album with a new recording and a European and UK tour.
Hannah’s songs strike a balance between rebellion and self-discovery. She is a gifted storyteller, writing songs that sooth like a lullaby or crack like a whip. Similarly, on stage Hannah deploys a charming blend of vulnerability and power.
She will be accompanied by Katie Bates from Australia on bass, who will also play support. Tickets for the concert are priced at £15.00.
Saturday 26th October
Two Pianos
The ultimate piano rock ‘n’ roll concert. The five piece band Two Pianos from Hull will take you on a musical journey back in time to celebrate the rock ‘n’ roll roots of Memphis and New Orleans, performing classic hits by Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly and Fats Domino.
Two Pianos regularly perform in theatres such as Hull New Theatre, Bridlington Spa and Cromer Pier, with capacities many times bigger than Town Hall Live. They played Kirton in June 2023 to a sold-out audience and they are delighted to have them back.
Tickets for the concert are priced at £16.00 and are selling fast.
Tickets for all concerts can be purchased from Brian on 01652 649230 or brianchudley@btinternet.com, from Morrisons Daily (Kirton) or from www.wegottickets.com. For more information on these and other concerts visit www.townhalllive.co.uk.
