Kirton in Lindsey Town Council are delighted to announce the launch of a new local community website, www.kirtoninlindsey.com, which gives information about the wealth of groups, societies and sporting activities that occur within the town.
In addition to these listings, there is also a ‘Useful Links’ page which lists the contact numbers and websites for the most requested services and amenities, and a page listing places to buy food, drink and other such goodies!
Also included is a page outlining the Voluntary Car Scheme (run by Humber and Wolds Rural Action) which is available for people over the age of 18 with genuine transport difficulties to assist in getting to important appointments such as doctors, hospitals, dentists, clinics, support groups, local shops etc.
There is even a page with information about the Neighbourhood Policing Team.
The website has been created following a feasibility study funded by North Lincolnshire Council and run by Kirton in Lindsey Town Council between 2021 and 2022, which identified that there was no single place that these offerings were listed.
The project is funded 79% by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) and 21% by Kirton in Lindsey Town Council.
Hopefully www.kirtoninlindsey.com will become a first point of contact for anyone wanting to know what goes on in the town, and many will discover new activities and groups that interest them.
If you yourself run or host a community activity or group that takes place in Kirton in Lindsey, please email community@kirtoninlindseytowncouncil.gov.uk to become involved.
