Are you no longer working full time? Are you looking for new things to do to keep your mind and body active, make new friends and have some fun?
If so, why don’t you go and see what goes on at Lindsey u3a? There is a great selection of interest groups you can join and activities you can take part in. The group meets at Welton Village Hall on the first Thursday of the month at 9.45am for a cuppa, followed by a speaker at 10.30am.
The next meeting on 1st June will feature member Alan Barnes sharing his experiences at sea in ‘Confessions of a Retired Coxswain’. The speaker on 6th July will be Lesley Clarke, a Heritage Studies graduate, telling members about ‘Swanpool Garden Suburb: Lincoln’s Failed Dream’.
The group gives a warm welcome to everyone so, if you are attending a meeting for the first time, please inform someone on Reception and a friendly face will show you round and answer any questions.
You can also join the group at the ‘Gardeners’ Retreat’ tearoom at Scothern Nurseries for a cuppa and a chat at 10.15am on the fourth Thursday of the month. The next get together will take place on 22nd June – so, whether you’re a newcomer wanting to know more about Lindsey u3a or if you’re already a member and just fancy a cuppa (and maybe a scone and a chat!) do go along. Everyone is welcome.
