On Monday 17th April, Dave Newman, The Sage Gardener, will be visiting Beckingham and District Gardeners’ Club to share all the tricks of the trade when sowing seeds. Dave and his volunteers believe that engagement with the natural environment is good for everyone, so why join in? The club meets at 7.30pm in Beckingham Recreation Room.
The following month on Monday 15th May, the speaker will be Andrew Robinson from the National Dahlia Society. Andrew is passionate about growing and showing dahlias. He will share his knowledge on all aspects of growing, taking cuttings and showing.
On 19th June the club will be visiting a member’s garden, and on 17th July they will be visiting Pam Tatum’s Garden at Harpswell. Visitors are welcome to join.
Anyone who is not a member of the club, but is interested in listening to any of the speakers, is welcome to go along. The club charges £4.00 for visitors, which includes refreshments and a raffle ticket.
Beckingham and District Gardeners’ Club is a small club and visitors will be made very welcome. As well as talks from interesting gardeners and naturalists, members like to socialise and enjoy trips to gardens, and places of gardening interest, during the summer months.
