Now that spring is here it’s time to get out and about. Lindsey u3a’s Garden Group was one of the first to take advantage of the season with a visit in February to admire the snowdrops at Tinsley Farms, Ashfield House near Branston. These visits are always popular for a £6.00 donation to charity, with tea, coffee and biscuits included.

Lindsey u3a holds a general meeting on the first Thursday of the month at Welton Village Hall; doors open at 9.45am for a cuppa followed by a speaker at 10.30am. Anyone not in full time employment is welcome; just tell someone on Reception that it’s your first visit.

The group enjoyed Barbara Myer’s inspirational ‘Wildlife Photography’ on 2nd March and members are looking forward to Nancy Appleyard’s fascinating talk ‘Body Language’ on 6th April.
Keith Hanson is the speaker on 11th May with a talk entitled ‘The Bloody Tower’.

You can also join the group at the ‘Gardeners’ Retreat’ tearoom at Scothern Nurseries for a cuppa and a chat at 10.15am on the fourth Thursday of the month. The next one will be 27th April, so whether you’re a newcomer or already a member go along and find out more about Lindsey u3a.
