Town Hall Live

Town Hall Live in Kirton continues its 2022 programme with two concerts in March and one in early April.

On Saturday 5th March, Callaghan headlines. Callaghan grew up in Grantham and her story is well known. In 2010 she moved to Atlanta to record her debut album with Shawn Mullins, who continued to mentor her. Ten years of performing and winning fans all over America followed. Her extraordinary voice sets her music apart and is nothing short of stunning. Her songs range from joyous anthems like ‘Best Year’ to emotive ballads like ‘When you Loved Me’. Support will come from Emily Lawlor from York, who is just starting out as a solo artist and has a wonderful voice.

On Friday 18th March, popular Scottish band Blue Rose Code perform. Town Hall Live feels extremely privileged to have this band as they regularly sell out much larger venues. Blue Rose Code’s music is not music just to listen to, but music to engage with and will leave you feeling richer for the experience. Their latest album ‘Healings of the Deepest Kind’ is an album touched with genius. They are one of the best live acts around, having toured the length and breadth of the country, playing sold out shows at venues such as Queens Hall, Edinburgh and Union Chapel, London. This really will be a concert not to miss.

On Saturday 2nd April, all the way from Canada is Lynne Hanson and The Good Intentions. Lynne’s brand of ‘porch music’ can turn on a dime from a sunshine, blue-sky ballad into a full thunderstorm of gritty Americana from one song to the next. Lynne’s live performances are high energy and guitar driven, and her songs are familiar and comfortable, fearless and strong. Support will be from London-based singer songwriter Kate Ellis, who is about to release her latest album ‘Spirals’.

Tickets for all concerts can be purchased from the Londis store in Kirton, from Brian on 01652 649230 or brianchudley@btinternet.com or from www.wegottickets.com, with prices ranging from £13.50 to £15.00.
