It has been a difficult and unusual year for all, including the committee who organise the Charity Nights at the Blues Club. Although ticket sales have improved slightly, they remain too low to cover costs. The Committee, who are independent to the Club, has decided to make provisional bookings for some acts for next year, but much will depend on ticket sales increasing further over the next few months.
On a lighter note, they are still pleased to present the last two charity nights of 2021: on 4th December there is Union Gap with Mike James, and then on New Year’s Eve you can enjoy Just For Kicks, plus Mike James and Dave Brewer’s Disco.
The first charity night of 2022 is Saturday 12th February – their Valentine’s Night do with the amazing Memories of the Four Tops, supported by the ever-popular Emma Kelsey and Dave Brewer’s Disco. The ticket price will also include a hot supper. This event is expected to be popular, so please order your tickets ASAP to avoid disappointment! Non-members are always welcome.
There are some great acts lined up for 2022; please go along to a charity night, take all your friends and family and hopefully they can continue to support local charities for years to come.
The Club would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
