Outside the Cave, a non-profit community interest company based in Edwinstowe, has been awarded three years of funding from The National Lottery Community Fund. This will be used to employ one full time and two part time project workers to deliver their new ‘Ready to Roar’ programme.
Courses started in July and will include daytime, evening and weekend classes for all ages to take part in. Participants will learn valuable Mindfulness skills, as well as improve their health, by learning yoga, tai chi, boxing, self-defence, and green gym activities. There are also a range of crafting workshops available at the centre at Sherwood House in Edwinstowe.
Outside the Cave work with individuals, families, schools and businesses and are dedicated to spreading the word about the vast health benefits of Mindfulness and other well-being practices. Outside the Cave are very thankful to the local community for supporting them since they opened in July 2017 and to The National Lottery Community Fund for enabling them to develop the project.
