The Kirton in Lindsey Society’s season of indoor meetings continues on Tuesday 25th June at 7.30pm, in the Town Hall, Market Place, Kirton in Lindsey.
This month it will be about the ‘IBBC (International Bomber Command Centre) — The making of a Memorial’. When Dave Gilbert, who has been involved with the project since it started, will tell its story and that of some of the bomber crews to whom it is a memorial.
The society have outings coming up on Saturday 20th July (a guided walk around Caistor) and on Sunday 18th August (a visit to RAF Ingham Heritage Centre). Booking is required for both, please contact them for information about costs and other details about the trips.
The 2019/2020 season of talks starts on Tuesday 24th September with a presentation called ‘Invading Britain, a quick guide to conquests’, when Dr Kevin Leahy will be taking us back in time to when our shores were under threat.
