Artists showcase their work in first exhibition

Budding artists, who are members of Misterton’s Brushstrokes art group, are holding the first exhibition of their own work on Saturday 13th April in the Church Room from 10.00am to 4.00pm. The artists, who come from Misterton and West Stockwith and nearby villages, meet weekly. Once a month, there is a professional tutor and, at intervals during the year, other artists are invited to come for specialist masterclasses.

With a collection of work in a range of media, Brushstrokes decided to hold its own exhibition. To help with the costs, District Councillor Hazel Brand donated £100 from her community grants fund. Light refreshments will be on sale at the exhibition, and there’s a raffle and ‘silent auction’ of original works and prints by some of Brushstrokes’ visiting artists.
