The lawn bowls season starts in April and the Marton Bowls Club is looking forward to welcoming some new members, especially those who haven’t played before and would like to start or ‘try it out’. The club would also be pleased to meet anyone who wants to restart their bowling career (including people new to the area).
Bowls is a very sociable game and a great way to keep fit, have fun, make new friends and enjoy being outdoors. The club is located in Trent Port Road, near Marton Church and the Village Hall, and invites you to join members at their weekly ‘roll-ups’ (friendlies) games on Thursday afternoons at 2.00pm, starting in May (you don’t have to book — just turn up on the day). Competitive league games are played from May to September, with mixed teams of three players per ‘rink’. The club also arranges a number of social events and club competitions during the season.
