What’s new at Outside the Cave?

Lots of exciting things have been happening at Outside the Cave (OTC) in Edwinstowe over the past few months. It’s been such a challenging time for many people and their wellbeing activities have never been more popular. Moving to online classes for mindfulness and yoga has been challenging but they are so glad they have managed to stay in touch with all of their clients old and new. They are continuing their online classes as well as looking forward to starting them in small groups face-to-face. These will be outdoors in the forest and (when permitted) socially distanced at OTC. Tai Chi is back in an outdoor setting and their other exercise classes will be up and running again over the coming weeks. Please see their website and Facebook pages for details.
The building itself has had a lovely revamp with a new, bigger work space for all of their lovely crafting and flower school classes. Their wellbeing groups and support groups can go ahead and feel safe in this new space and they look forward to welcoming everyone back over the coming weeks, including their working age dementia rural hub and pain management support group. The crochet class is hoping to relaunch as soon as they are allowed – in addition they will also be offering a wide range of one-day craft courses.
Their reception area looks lovely and the new shop run by ‘Made By Torty B’ will be focused on being kinder to the Earth – selling the ‘A Little Bit Greener’ range of products and some items from other sellers. They will also be a collection point for Boo’s Pantry – a zero waste refill store.
If you’ve never visited them before please pop in to the centre on Ollerton Road, Edwinstowe or take a look at their website or Facebook page to see what’s on offer.
