Warsop’s Inner Wheel Club

Warsop’s Inner Wheel Club started the year with fashion and fun.

President Sharlotte Somerville and members met for a lovely carvery meal at the Hostess restaurant on 3rd January. After new year wishes were shared, the ladies were treated to a talk about fashion and not being afraid of colour.

The talk was given by junior vice president Jean Mountain, who owns the Dressing Room in Mansfield Woodhouse. Jean was supported by willing models vice president Elaine Hopkins, association treasurer Gloria Humphry and member Janet Wright. The models did a fabulous job of showing off the clothes and how to wear them! Members than had opportunity to browse Jean’s wears.

February saw three potential new members join in as guests. They were made welcome by all the members present, and chatting and laughter was the result.

The youngest member of the club Emily Somerville gave a presentation on the importance of conserving the wildlife in our gardens, even the creepy crawling bugs! Everyone then had a chance to make a bug hotel from twigs, bamboo, pinecones and dry leaves.

The club now look forward to the March meeting where club secretary Jude will be giving a presentation on creative writing and will be getting members to put their hand and mind to writing something creative.

If you would like more information about Inner Wheel you are very welcome on the first Wednesday of every month at the Hostess restaurant, or call Membership Officer Elaine Hopkins on 07731 678521.
