The Arts Society Dukeries is a local group of the national Arts Society. They hold monthly lectures at the Civic Centre, Carlton-in-Lindrick, with a good, varied programme planned for the remainder of the year.

Members of the Society also enjoy two extra special interest days, newsletters, a national magazine, a coach holiday (this year to the Bath area) and days out to local places of interest (this year to Wentworth Woodhouse and a Christmas visit to Harewood House).

The Society is now on its summer break, but returns on Wednesday 5th October with a lecture entitled ‘The Roaring Twenties: Art, Design and High Society’.

The Society meets at the Civic Centre, Long Lane, Carlton-in-Lindrick S81 9AP. Tea and coffee are available from 10.00am, ready to start by 11.00am and lasting for approximately one hour. Free car parking is available. The cost of the lecture is £7.00.
