Spring has sprung for the National Garden Scheme

by | 25 February 2023 | Community Event, Gardening Club, Sherwood

Visit a National Gardens Scheme spring gardens opening, showcasing hosts of golden daffodils and masses or spring bulbs to enjoy.
They just have one date so far, but did you know that many of their gardens also open ‘By arrangement’? This enables you to arrange a personalised garden visit with your club or a group of friends, on a date to suit you. This year there are 19 gardens open this way in Nottinghamshire throughout the year and four of these are new gardens too. Details are at www.ngs.org.uk.

Sunday 12th March, 12.00pm to 4.00pm

Upper Grove Farm, Norwell Woodhouse NG23 6NG
This country garden looks out onto open countryside in a peaceful village and the garden wraps around the farmhouse. There is a small orchard and informal beds of spring flowers which feature lots of daffodils. Imaginatively planted pots and lots of colour from evergreen shrubs. Most of the garden is accessible to wheelchairs but some gravel paths. Refreshments in the farmhouse barn, dog friendly
