On Tuesday 4th June Sherwood Forest Rotary Club held its annual Charity Golf Day at Rufford Park Golf and Country Club.
The event was once again sponsored by Jones & Co Solicitors, who have been the main sponsor since its first year in 2017.
12 teams battled the course (and some outbursts of rain!) and some high scores were returned in the team event, with only two points separating the top three places. The Club would like to thank all those who took part, many of whom have played in every competition since the event began. That level of support is truly remarkable.
Thanks go to the ground staff at the course for its great condition. Many complimentary comments came from visiting players.
Thanks also go to the bar and catering staff for their support during the day, and to the individuals and companies who sponsored the holes on the course.
This year the charities chosen by the club’s President Tim Wildgust are Cancer Research and Maggie’s. £1,700 was raised on the day – a magnificent achievement!
President Tim thanked the organiser of the day, Rotarian Malcolm Bevan, and congratulated him on the successful event. Malcolm, in turn, thanked the main sponsors, Jones & Co, Rufford Park Golf Club and all those that helped make the day so enjoyable.
