Rotary Club of Sherwood Forest

June marks the end of the Rotary year and is a good time to look back at the many charities and community projects that Sherwood Forest Rotary has supported.

The group would like to thank all supporters throughout the year and hope that, as they move into the next Rotary year, everyone will continue to help with upcoming projects.

If you have a project which needs some financial help, email

The group will continue to organise annual events, such as the golf day and Christmas collection, and hope that they will be able to bring back the Proms Concert which has always been a favourite evening.

Recently Sherwood Forest Rotary met with a neighbouring club – Warsop, Shirebrook and District. This provided an opportunity to exchange ideas and discuss possible combined ventures during the year. Both clubs believe that there are many members of the community who would enjoy becoming Rotarians.

Being a member of a voluntary organisation which supports local groups and those further afield may appeal to you, and if it does please email as above and arrange to go along to a meeting. That way you will be able to find out more about what the Rotary club does and how they achieve it.
