Unfortunately, Ollerton WI currently has a lot of poorly members, so they remind them all that friends are thinking and are only a phone call away.
The WI is still full steam ahead with its walking group, darts team, walking net ball and monthly meetings. Recent meeting topics have included music from 50s, 60s, and 70s, NHS blood and transplant service, and a very interesting talk about well-fitting bras, from Janice Rose Lingerie; the ladies all learned something that night!
There will be a cake stall at the Jubilee Hall on 26th October. After that the group is entering the Scarecrow Competition again this year, and the Best Dressed Christmas Tree at Church Circle on 7th November.
They keep very busy – but how much or how little is up to the individual. Meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month at Jubilee Hall, Wellow Road, Ollerton, 7.15pm to 9.45pm. Visitors and new members always welcome!
