Ollerton Town FC

After the conclusion of the men’s football season, Ollerton Town Football Club embarked on a belated spring cleaning initiative at the ground. In a successful community clean-up event, they were grateful to have Chris Baker from Carisbrooke Clearance sponsor the occasion and assist in clearing the Club’s debris and waste. A remarkable 95% of the waste has been either recycled or re-purposed, with items being donated to local schools to use in their gardening projects.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to the dedicated volunteers who tirelessly worked from 9.00am to 2.00pm, engaging in tasks like grass cutting, weeding, painting, and various other duties. The Club is immensely grateful for their invaluable contributions. To anyone interested in joining their community efforts through volunteering, whether on match days, coaching junior teams, or lending a hand whenever possible, they welcome your involvement. Please contact chairman@ollertontownfc.co.uk to express your interest in supporting their journey towards a brighter future. The Club will be planning another clean up event in the near future, so watch this space.

They extend a special appreciation to those who generously donated equipment and resources for the Club’s use during the clean-up. This was particularly helpful as the Club attempts to rebuild financially whilst still making improvements to their site.

Lastly, mark your calendars for a community fun day on Saturday 8th June. Join the Club for children’s games, a parents versus coaches match, and other activities to keep adults and children entertained. Admission is free, so go down to Walesby Lane in New Ollerton for a day of fun at their ground.
