Nottinghamshire Mind are looking for volunteers

by | 30 January 2021 | Local Charity, Sherwood

Nottinghamshire Mind are looking for volunteers to provide peer support to others and help facilitate an app based group. As it is difficult, or impossible, for people to meet up at the minute to get peer support they have set up peer support sessions hosted through the app ‘Groupme’. These chat rooms offer peer conversation on a number of topics allowing like minded people to share experiences, stories and well-being tips.
The groups include personality disorder, empty nest, hearing voices, transgender, bi-polar disorder, ‘chit chat’, feeling good, parent chat and bereavement.
You will be able to share your own knowledge and experiences in order to help others talk about their feelings and concerns in a safe and supportive environment.
