The garden visiting year is drawing to a close, but there are still gardens to visit in September and October:

Sunday 11th September, 1.00pm – 5.00pm

Oak Barn Exotic Garden
Church Street, East Markham NG22 0SA

On entering the oak lych-style gate you will be met with the unexpected dense canopy of greenery and tropical foliage. Gravel paths wind under towering palms and bananas which are underplanted with cannas and gingers, On the lowest levels houseplants are bedded out from the large greenhouse to join the summer displays. They surround the jungle hut and new raised walkway. This garden has been featured extensively in garden publications. Refreshments.

Sunday 18th September, 1.30pm – 4.30pm

Riseholm
125 Shelford Road, Radcliffe on Trent NG12 1AZ

Imaginative and inspirational is how the garden has been descried by visitors. It contains a huge variety of perennials, grasses, shrubs and trees combined with an eye for colour and design and includes a jungle area with exotic lush planting, which contrasts with tender perennials particularly salvias, thriving in raised beds and a gravel garden with stream. Featured in national magazines. Dog friendly, plants for sale parking, refreshments.

Sunday 2nd October, 2.00pm – 5.00pm

Norwell Nurseries
Woodhouse Road, Norwell NG23 6JX

A nationally renowned plant nursery, including a one acre plantsman’s garden which contains a jewel box of over 3000 different, beautiful and unusual plants. Large pond with sumptuously planted margins. Extensive herbaceous borders and effervescent colour themed beds. In October the garden features UK’s largest collection of hardy chrysanthemums, and new borders to showcase the National Collection of Astrantias. Featured in RHS Garden Magazine.
