Men in Sheds

Are you a man over 60 and a dab hand with a saw and chisel, or have you always wanted to know how to make a perfect dovetail joint? The Men in Sheds project in Blidworth is the place for you! Men in Sheds brings together local older men to share and learn new wood-working skills. The ‘shed’ is a well-equipped workshop where members can work on their own projects or make items which can be sold to help support the shed.

Shed members come from a wide variety of backgrounds ranging from highly skilled to beginners. All work together and there is a role for everyone. Members can put their skills to good use, share their knowledge, learn new skills and put the world to rights over a cup of tea.

The Blidworth shed is open Monday to Thursday, and costs just £2.00 for a half-day session. If you would like more information, or to go along for a taster session, contact the shed on 01623 797750 or by email to Meninsheds-blidworth@ageuknotts.org.uk.
